Gratitude

Before the holiday weekend is over…

I wanted to write a quick note to share my gratitude for you. Whether you’re a patient, parent, family member, friend, or colleague, you’ve played a major role in making Keānuenue Pediatrics a real dream come true. I owe a debt to you for supporting, believing in, and working alongside me to make my goal of providing the absolute best pediatric care attainable. I can’t say it enough: THANK YOU.

Register for Our Office

Our Team.

[Yes, this is one of the only team photos I have, but we’ll take more together 🙂 CARE BEAR ALERT: Caring is what counts!! The kids didn’t really get our Halloween costumes, but some parents did!]
Our team built this practice from the ground up. We asked ourselves, what can we do to provide the highest quality of care and be the very best? How can we make our patients’ lives easier, do our jobs better, and still have fun doing it?

Thank you to Alyssa (aka Dr. Honda), Charmagne, Randalyn, Roselle, and Tyra (aka my Mom) who helped create protocols, shopped to outfit the office, cleaned and hauled away trash, put together furniture, and continue to do basically anything they can to make our office run efficiently and effectively. You’re the definition of DREAM TEAM, and I’m endlessly grateful for you. Thank you for believing in our vision and always having my back.

My Family.

[Yes, this is our most recent family photo … Wren was 9 months and still bald, now she’s 2 1/2 with wild curls, so I think we’re due for an update :)]
When I took the leap of leaving my old practice with nothing more than a really big vision for what a pediatric office could and should be and a hope that parents would find me and agree, my family didn’t hesitate to take the leap with me.

It meant some nights that I was paying more attention to my computer than my daughter Wren. It meant many months where I stopped contributing to our household finances (except for adding debt!) and my husband bore the burden. It meant helping me work my way through so many decisions that, as a new business owner, I had to make. There were … so …. many …. decisions. Without the unwavering support of my family, it would’ve been really easy to bail on the dream and retreat to my comfort zone, but they kept me pushing ahead and focusing on the goal.

Our Patients.

I know I speak for all of us at Keānuenue Pediatrics when I say how thankful we are for our patients and their families. We feel genuine joy when we see familiar faces visit our new office. We feel true delight getting to know new families who’ve found us. We love visiting you in the hospital to meet your new baby and to help you through those challenging first weeks (err, years?). We love watching your little one grow into walking, talking, inquisitive children, with flourishing (and goofy) personalities. We built our office with you in mind.

I say it time and time again, but I mean it each time … it’s the greatest privilege being a Pediatrician on a Pediatric Team that gets to be so involved in such a special part of your life.

Thank you for choosing us to share this journey with you.

Wishing you health, safety, and lots of aloha this Holiday Season!
xoxo
