Dr. Jasmine Waipa MD
Born and raised in Hawaiʻi, I’m grateful to be home, serving the community that raised me. After completing my pediatric training in California, I returned to Oʻahu to practice medicine. Now, more than 15 years later, I’m still doing the work I love, building relationships with families and being a small part in helping a child shape their big future.
Before medical school, I studied sociology at Harvard because I’ve always been curious about the ways culture, society, and economics shape our health. At Stanford, where I earned my medical degree, and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, where I completed my pediatric residency, I focused on advocacy and innovation in health care. I carry those lessons with me every day.
Now, as both a pediatrician and a parent to a curious, hilarious eight year old named Wren, I bring professional training and lived experience into every visit. Parenthood is humbling, and I love learning alongside the families I care for.
My favorite part of pediatrics is the long view: helping new parents build confidence, walking with families through each age and stage, and watching kids grow into themselves over time. It’s a joy and an honor to witness.
